Does this work on scanned drawings?

Yes. Scanned, faded, and photographed P&IDs are supported alongside CAD-exported PDFs and PNG / JPG / TIFF images. You review and confirm the rows before export.

How does Tagsight handle non-ISA tag conventions?

The tag convention is read from each drawing. ISA 5.1, KKS, IEC 81346, DIN 19227, NORSOK Z-DP-002, NEN Dutch HVAC, Shell DEP, Aramco SAES, and in-house operator formats are all read in the convention they were drawn in. Tags are never silently rewritten to ISA.

What columns appear in the output?

The 14-column I/O list: tag, service description, P&ID sheet, loop, signal class (AI / AO / DI / DO), sub-class (BPCS / SIS), range, units, set point, trip / alarm, cabinet, card slot, channel, and notes / revisions. Columns owned downstream by the controls team stay blank until you fill them.

How is signal class assigned?

Signal class is assigned per ISA 5.1 and is editable in review. A pressure transmitter (PT) reads as AI; a modulating control valve (TCV) reads as AO; an on / off solenoid (XV) reads as DO; a high-pressure switch (PSH) reads as DI.

How much does converting a P&ID to an I/O list cost?

$249 for 10 engineering drawings, one-time. Nothing is charged to upload, extract, or review. You see the full result on your own drawing before a credit is consumed. A drawing is charged the first time you export it. All export formats for that drawing are included from that point on. There is no subscription and no card stays on file after purchase.

What is included on signup?

New accounts receive a starting allowance to run the extraction on your own files end-to-end and confirm it produces the I/O list you need before committing to a pack.

How are off-page connectors and cross-page loops resolved?

Off-page connectors are read as tags and reconciled across sheets into single loop numbers. Cross-page loops are reconciled into a single loop number across every sheet they appear on, with each contributing sheet listed.
