Common questions
What columns are in the output workbook?
Equipment tag, equipment type, rating (kVA / A / V), upstream source bus or breaker, downstream loads, protection device reference, and a notes column for cable sizes, vendor codes, or drawing callouts.
Does it handle both vector PDFs and scanned drawings?
Yes. CAD-exported vector PDFs and scanned legacy SLDs are both supported. Scanned sheets are read at high resolution.
Can it read multi-sheet SLD sets?
Yes. Upload the full set as a single PDF or as individual files. Equipment that spans sheets is reconciled into one list, with a page-reference column tracking which sheet each device appeared on.
Is the topology preserved in the output?
The upstream source and downstream load columns capture the connectivity. Each row records what feeds the device and what it feeds, giving you a traceable hierarchy without a separate graph tool.
What about protection devices?
Fuses, relays, and breakers associated with each equipment item are captured in the protection device column as drawn. Device ratings and references are extracted where the drawing provides them.
