Accepted Answer

I/O lists, instrument indexes, equipment lists, line lists, valve lists, and ISA-20 datasheets. Each available as Excel, CSV, JSON, Siemens TIA Portal XML, Rockwell Studio 5000 L5X, PLCCreator CSV, ISO 15926 DEXPI XML, or annotated PDF.

Does Tagsight import directly into Siemens TIA Portal?

Yes. The TIA Portal export is a GlobalDB block sized for S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers. Symbol comments, datatypes, and I/O addresses are populated, and the signal class on each tag drives the DI / DO / AI / AO module sizing.

Does Tagsight import directly into Rockwell Studio 5000?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Studio 5000 export is an L5X file with controller-scoped tags for ControlLogix 5380 and 5580. Tag descriptions, base types, and signal class are preserved on import.

How does Tagsight handle scanned legacy drawings versus vector PDFs?

Both are supported. The extracted data comes back with the source bubble visible in the review pane, so the engineer can confirm or edit each row in place against the original drawing.

How is the I/O count generated for a migration bid envelope?

Accepted Answer

The first run returns the counted instrument set per drawing, broken down by signal class (AI, AO, DI, DO) and by equipment, within hours of upload. The count feeds module sizing, panel scope, and the bid total. Re-running on later revisions produces a delta against the prior count for change-order pricing.
