Tagsight for process engineers
You author the P&ID. You also field every downstream question about it, from the instrument count for the controls bid to the equipment list for the MTO to the line list for stress. The drawing leaves your desk and you spend the rest of the project answering it.
Read one of your own drawings.
Drop a P&ID, instrument index, or schedule. Tagsight reads it to the tag and opens a workspace you keep when you sign in.

What you do today.
- Issue the P&ID for IFC after weeks of mark-ups and back-checks
- Field separate data requests from controls, mechanical, materials, and procurement
- Re-issue with revisions, watch the cycle restart
- Maintain a private master spreadsheet that nobody else can read
What changes with Tagsight.
- Other disciplines self-serve their slice of the P&ID instead of asking you
- Revision diffs are exportable, so the impact memo starts from a real tag delta instead of a fresh cross-walk
- Heat-and-mass flow tags trace to source pages for review backups
- PFD-to-P&ID consistency checks reduce the late-stage discovery of missing instruments
Where it fits in your week.
MTO baseline
Procurement asks for an early MTO. Run the latest issue through Tagsight, hand the equipment and line lists across, get back to the simulation work that is actually behind.
Revision impact memo
A late process change adds two control loops and removes a spare pump. The diff report against the previous IFC populates the impact memo for the project review without a manual cross-walk.
Heat-and-mass tag traceability
Operations asks how the new flow indicator on the recycle line ties back to the heat-and-mass balance. The extraction carries the tag and source page, so the reference is one click.
FAQ.
Will Tagsight infer process intent from the P&ID.
No. Tagsight extracts the structured data on the drawing, including tags, equipment, and lines. Intent, control philosophy, hazard classification, simulation tie-in stays with the process engineer. The tool removes the transcription, not the engineering judgment.
Can a PFD be extracted as well.
Yes. PFDs run through the same extraction surface and produce a structured equipment-and-stream list with the page reference preserved.
