P&ID extraction for Yokogawa CENTUM projects
CENTUM VP revision projects at LNG, refinery, and petrochemical sites carry drawing sets where revisions span decades and where the tag scheme may be KKS, IEC 81346, or a plant-specific area-loop hybrid. The CENTUM Builder configuration is not the bottleneck. The bottleneck is producing a clean, area-segmented I/O baseline off a drawing set that accumulated changes across four or five platform generations.
Read one of your own drawings.
Drop a P&ID, instrument index, or schedule. Tagsight reads it to the tag and opens a workspace you keep when you sign in.

- I/O list with ISA 5.1 signal classification, segmented by process area
- Instrument index with thermowell pairing and HART loop annotations preserved
- Equipment list covering vessels, columns, exchangers, pumps, and rotating machinery
- Line list with pipe spec breaks and metallurgy where indicated on the drawings
- SIS subset filtered for IEC 61511 lifecycle paperwork
- Revision comparison reports across drawing-set generations
- Outputs are vendor-neutral and consumed by the engineering database the project keeps. SmartPlant Instrumentation, INtools, or a custom internal tool
- Off-page connector matching across multi-page sets keeps cross-train interlock signals connected
- Original tag schemes are preserved verbatim, including non-ISA dialects encountered in plants built to Japanese or European house standards
- Revision comparison surfaces added, removed, and modified instruments at a granularity that supports MOC discipline on covered processes

Do you generate CENTUM Builder load files.
No. Tagsight delivers structured engineering data. I/O list, instrument index, equipment list, line list. The configuration build inside CENTUM remains with the controls engineer.
How are non-ISA tag conventions handled.
The extraction is dialect-permissive. KKS, plant-specific area-loop schemes, and Japanese or European house conventions all extract end-to-end. The original tag string is preserved exactly as it appears on the drawing.
Are you affiliated with Yokogawa.
No. Tagsight is independent. The page describes the engineering workflow on CENTUM-based projects, not a partnership with the vendor.
Can the output be split per process area or per drawing.
Yes. Outputs can be filtered by tag area, by source drawing, or by signal class. That maps cleanly to the area-by-area engineering organization typical on CENTUM projects.
