ADNOC.
ADNOC's operating breadth covers upstream gas, downstream refining, and offshore platforms under one engineering-standards umbrella. AGES fixes the column shape of the output documents. The asset gives the drawing shape, and the two rarely arrive in the same condition.
ADNOC AGES P&ID Extraction for Projects.
ADNOC projects run against AGES. I/O lists and instrument indexes come with BPCS, SIS, and FGS separation aligned to ADNOC engineering standards.
Primary standard: ADNOC AGES
Documentation expectations.
- Instrument tag conventions consistent with the AGES instrumentation family. Area, unit, loop, function hierarchy
- I/O list with explicit BPCS, SIS, FGS separation per IEC 61511 and the AGES SIS family
- Instrument index spanning the full unit drawing set with tag uniqueness enforced
- Equipment list keyed to vessels, pumps, compressors, and packaged skids per AGES equipment-tagging conventions
- Line list with size, pipe spec, service, metallurgy, insulation, and tracing flags
- SIS instrument register filtered for IEC 61511 audit
- FGS register kept distinct for fire and gas system audit
Where Tagsight fits.
- AGES-shaped tag conventions come through alongside ISA 5.1
- BPCS, SIS, FGS scope segments onto separate Excel sheets for independent sign-off
- Off-page connector matching across multi-page ADNOC drawing sets keeps cross-unit signals tied
- Revision comparison feeds the MOC change record on brownfield revamps
- Image-based ingestion covers scanned legacy drawings from earlier ADNOC asset documentation
- Direct exports to TIA Portal, Studio 5000, PLCCreator, DEXPI bypass intermediate reformatting
Common questions
Does Tagsight handle ADNOC AGES tag conventions.
Yes. AGES-shaped tags come through alongside ISA 5.1. The original tag string is preserved. Signal classification follows the second-letter function regardless of the surrounding hierarchy.
Is Tagsight an ADNOC-approved or registered vendor.
Tagsight is independent. This page describes how Tagsight outputs line up with documentation AGES expects on ADNOC projects. It does not represent an approval, partnership, or registration status.
How does FGS scope segment from BPCS and SIS on the export.
FGS-prefixed tags route to a separate Excel sheet on export. Filter by the FGS-prefix conventions used at the facility and the FGS register exports independently from BPCS and SIS scope.
Can the export feed a Yokogawa, Honeywell, or Emerson DCS directly.
DCS vendor tag database imports vary by platform. The Excel export carries tag, signal class, description, and connected equipment. The columns most DCS tag-import tools need. For PLC platforms, direct TIA Portal XML and Studio 5000 L5X exports bypass CSV entirely.
How does Tagsight handle metric and imperial units on ADNOC drawings.
Line specs and instrument ranges preserve the original notation, metric or imperial, as drawn. Mixed-unit drawings come through without forcing unit conversion.
