Common questions
What is a loop check record.
It is the commissioning register that proves each control loop was calibrated, tested end to end, and verified in the DCS or PLC before startup. One row per loop, with the technician and date against each sign-off and a punch column for anything left open.
What columns are in this workbook.
Twelve. Loop, tag, service description, signal class, calibrated with its date and who did it, loop tested with its date and who did it, DCS or PLC verified, and notes or punch. Signal class, calibration, loop test and DCS verification carry dropdowns so the sheet filters cleanly at a progress meeting.
How does it relate to the I/O list.
The I/O list names every wired channel; the loop check record is what commissioning signs against each of them. Filling the loop and tag columns from the issued I/O list keeps the two documents on the same tag set instead of two hand-typed ones.
