Tagsight for functional safety managers
Your name is on the FSA report. Every SIF in the SRS has to trace back to a SIL target, a PFD calculation, and a tag on a P&ID, and the regulator wants the evidence chain in one folder. You spend half the FSA prep window assembling that folder by hand.
Read one of your own drawings.
Drop a P&ID, instrument index, or schedule. Tagsight reads it to the tag and opens a workspace you keep when you sign in.

What you do today.
- Pull each SIF from the SRS, hunt down the matching tag on the latest P&ID revision
- Verify the trip-class on the cause-and-effect matrix, file the page reference
- Reconcile against the SIL verification spreadsheet maintained by another team
- Compile the audit binder, hope nothing changed since the last issue
What changes with Tagsight.
- Every extracted SIS tag carries source page and revision metadata, so the audit trace is one filter
- Revision diffs make it explicit when a SIF was added, removed, or re-classed between issues
- The cause-and-effect matrix exports with trip-level annotations for FSA review
- Workspace audit log records who reviewed, edited, or signed off on each tag
Where it fits in your week.
FSA folder assembly
Two weeks before the FSA, you need a binder that walks the assessor from the SRS to the SIF to the P&ID page. Run the IFC drawing set through Tagsight, filter for SIS, attach the extraction with revision stamps. The trace is built from the data instead of from a fresh paper walk.
Mid-cycle SIF change
A late P&ID change adds a high-pressure trip on a new vessel. The diff report against the previous IFC isolates the new SIF and the affected loop directly, instead of forcing a full SIS scope re-walk.
Periodic SIL re-validation
Every five years the operator re-validates SIL targets against as-found drawings. Run the latest as-built set, compare to the previous validation snapshot, write the delta memo from the diff instead of from a fresh P&ID walk.
FAQ.
Is Tagsight a SIL verification tool.
No. SIL determination and PFD calculations remain in your verification tool of choice. Tagsight handles the data pull from the drawings into a structured form, so the verification workflow is not blocked on transcription.
Can the audit log be exported for an external assessor.
Yes. Workspace audit history exports as a structured log with timestamps, edits, and reviewer identity. The assessor receives the chain of custody alongside the extraction.
