P&ID extraction for pipeline and midstream.
A midstream corridor runs thousands of kilometres and dozens of stations, each built by a different EPC against a different revision of the operator's standards. The corridor-level instrument register is the union of all of them.
- Per-station I/O list, compressor or pump station, metering station, scraper trap
- Aggregated corridor instrument register
- Custody-transfer metering audit subset
- Cathodic protection and leak-detection instrument scope
- Compressor stations carry vibration, temperature, gas detection, and ESD SIS scope
- Custody-transfer metering is audited under weights-and-measures regimes. Extracted scope filters into a separate register
- Pipeline integrity instruments, cathodic protection, leak detection, ILI tool tracking are spread across the asset. The extraction is the consolidation step
- Cross-jurisdiction pipelines, US, Canada, interstate vs. Intra-state drive different documentation regimes. The extracted dataset supports whichever regulator asks
- Liquid pipelines, crude, NGL, products and gas pipelines carry different instrumentation density and SCADA architectures. Differences surface in the equipment list
- Scraper traps, valve sites, and check-valve stations are thin drawings, sometimes one page but carry SIS-classified ESD valves
- Tank terminals at pipeline endpoints behave like a tank farm. Processed as a separate workspace with custody-transfer scope filtered out
- Older drawings carry imperial units and ASME B31.4, B31.8 spec callouts. Line list preserves them as drawn
- PHMSA, US Part 192 for gas, Part 195 for liquids. Drives integrity management documentation
- CER, Canada equivalents
- API RP 1175 leak detection systems
- NIST Handbook 44, OIML for custody-transfer metering
