Header row
Formatted, frozen, with set column widths so the sheet scrolls cleanly on long registers.
A master equipment list is the project register of every tagged equipment item on a process facility: pumps, vessels, exchangers, columns, tanks, blowers, compressors, filters, and reactors. One row per tag carries equipment type, service description, rated capacity, design pressure and temperature, materials of construction, vendor and model number, weights, dimensions, and a reference to the per-equipment datasheet. The master equipment list is the handover document for procurement, commissioning, and the CMMS asset register.
Master equipment list template with 14 columns covering tag, type, service, capacity, design pressure, design temperature, materials, vendor, model, weight, dimensions, and datasheet reference. Pre-formatted with frozen header, auto-filter, signal-class dropdown where applicable, and 48 blank rows. Free .xlsx download.
| Step | Manual template fill | Tagsight extraction |
|---|---|---|
| Source the data | Open each vendor datasheet PDF | Upload the binder once |
| Identify the tag | Transcribe tag from form header | Parsed and validated on upload |
| Fill 14 columns | Manual per-row data entry | Auto-populated from datasheet fields |
| Reconcile across vendors | Manual cross-reference | Side-by-side comparison workbook |
| Link to datasheet | Reference column kept by hand | Per-row PDF link preserved |
| Export to CMMS | Re-key into receiving system | Direct export in canonical shape |
14 columns mapped to how a master equipment list is issued on a real project. Dropdown columns enforce values; free-text columns let house notation preserve as drawn.
Formatted, frozen, with set column widths so the sheet scrolls cleanly on long registers.
One filled row shows the format for every column so the schema is clear before the engineer starts typing.
Enabled on every column. Pivot by any field without a single formula.
Pre-formatted and ready to paste into. Extends without breaking the dropdown or filter range.
Categorical columns (priority, signal class, status, type) enforce values so the register stays clean.
Plain .xlsx. Opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice. No macros, no add-ins.
No signup, no email gate, no telemetry inside the file. Download, edit, ship.
A single mint-italic line at the bottom: Drag a source document at tagsight.io to fill this automatically. Easy to delete.
Tagsight reads the source document, extracts every row, and returns the same 14-column schema this template defines. Type, tag, vendor, model, and per-row metadata are populated from the document itself.
Scanned binders, CAD-exported PDFs, and image scans all work. House conventions, vendor-specific forms, and dialect-specific tag schemes read as drawn.
