Motor list to Excel.
A motor list is the electrical engineering register of every motor on a project. One row per motor tag carries the driven equipment, rated horsepower or kilowatts, voltage, phase, frequency, RPM, starter class (NEMA size 0-7 or IEC class 1-4), MCC bucket assignment, NEMA frame, enclosure rating (TEFC, ODP, TEXP, XP, WPI, WPII), hazardous area rating (NEC Class / Division / Group or IEC zone), and the feeder cable reference. The motor list is the bid document handed to the MCC builder and the verification document the commissioning electrician reads.
Upload a single line diagram, an MCC schedule, or a legacy motor list and extract every motor into a structured register. Driven equipment, horsepower, voltage, phase, frequency, starter class, MCC bucket, NEMA frame, enclosure, and hazardous area rating all read into the columns electrical engineers and MCC builders expect.
| Field | On the SLD | In the extracted register |
|---|---|---|
| Motor tag | Symbol with adjacent label | Tag column, project-unique |
| HP / kW | Annotated at motor symbol | Per-row column with unit preserved |
| Starter class | NEMA or IEC notation on bucket | Preserved as drawn (no conversion) |
| MCC bucket | Bucket position on the MCC line | Sortable column for builder bid |
| Hazardous area rating | Class / Division / Group or zone callout | Per-row column |
| Feeder cable | Cable tag on the feeder line | Cross-reference to cable schedule |
Fields extracted.
Every column the motor list typically carries is read and shaped into a structured row. Missing fields stay blank, never invented.

Common questions.
Does this preserve both NEMA and IEC starter classifications?
Yes. NEMA size 0 through 7 and IEC class 1 through 4 starter notations both read as drawn. Conversion between NEMA and IEC is a separate engineering step; the extraction does not silently normalize.
Can it read hazardous area ratings (Class I Div 1, Zone 2, etc.)?
Yes. NEC 500 Class / Division / Group notation, IEC 60079 Zone 0 / 1 / 2 notation, and Atex EPL marking all preserve as drawn in the hazardous area rating column. The MCC bid workbook respects the area rating when filtering motors by enclosure.
Does it tie back to the cable feeder schedule?
Yes. When a cable schedule is in the same workspace, each motor row carries its feeder reference. The cross-reference workbook joins the motor list and the cable schedule on the feeder tag so an MCC bucket reassignment surfaces in both files together.
Convert your file.
Upload a motor list in any format, get every row read, every column shaped, every reference preserved, then export the workbook your team uses next.
